BaByliss lists a three-hour fast charge for 40 minutes at maximum temperature, which the listing gives as 180°C. Forty minutes is enough for a full head of curls for most people, plus touch-ups, but not several sessions in a row. An intelligent charge level indicator shows what is left, so you are not caught out mid-style.
Multi-voltage charging is listed, along with sleep mode and an automatic safety shut-off.
Heating and barrel
The tong uses what BaByliss calls patented Micro Heating Matrix heaters, formed to the shape of the barrel so that heat stays even along its length.
