The Faszin Professional is a wide plate straightener with 42 by 110 mm titanium plates and eleven temperature settings from 130°C to 230°C. It suits long, thick or curly hair that takes a long time to straighten with standard plates, especially for people who want to set the heat themselves. Its key difference from the ghd wide plate models is that combination of a stated plate size and an adjustable range with a live LED display.

Our take
Titanium plates and heating
Faszin says the titanium plates are 150% smoother than ceramic, and that HeatSyncX temperature compensation reduces drift so heat is even from root to ends. The listing states the tool reaches 180°C within 30 seconds using an MCH heater. The 3D floating plates move with the hair to avoid tugging.
At 42 by 110 mm, the plates are described as giving 85% more heating area than a regular straightener, which Faszin says halves straightening time.
Settings, ions and display
Eleven settings run from 130°C to 230°C, shown on an LED screen, and you can switch between °C and °F. A negative ion function can be turned on and off with a short press of the power button; Faszin claims 23% more shine and 28% more smoothness. The higher settings deserve caution, because more heat is not automatically better for hair.
Travel and safety features
The listing gives a 100 to 240 V range, a 2.2 m cord that rotates 360°, a hinge lock for storage and an automatic shutdown after 30 minutes. Amazon lists a weight of 600 g, which is light for plates this wide. No warranty term or case is mentioned.
The wide body is less handy for short hair, fringes and detailed work near the scalp, which is a trade-off shared by every wide plate model in this category.
Faszin or ghd wide plates
The ghd Max has plates 70% larger than ghd's standard and runs at a fixed 185°C, with an established brand and a 2 year guarantee. The ghd Chronos Max goes wider still with ghd's newest heating. The Faszin gives more control over temperature on paper, but from a lesser-known brand.
Verdict
Choose the Faszin 42 mm if you want wide plates with adjustable heat, a clear display and travel-friendly voltage. If a known brand and stated guarantee matter more than temperature control, the ghd Max is the safer bet, and fine hair is better served by the Cloud Nine Original Iron's lower starting point.
